Nashville Area Alumnae Association

Service

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership.

Here you can find the many ways in which our association has served our community.

Alpha Delta Pi and Ronald McDonald House Charities have been philanthropic partners since 1979. As one of their oldest corporate partners, our members provide financial support for RMHC by raising money through fundraising events, hands-on support for their local RMHC chapter, and in-kind donations. In 2015, the RMHC Endowment was created for any RMHC chapter to apply for a grant to help build or renovate facilities, as well as create or expand their programs. These grants allow Alpha Delta Pi to support more RMHC locations that may not have a collegiate chapter or alumnae association nearby to provide funding or volunteer services.

The Alpha Delta Pi Foundation serves others through our philanthropic partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) as well as our own sisters through emergency grant funds that provide help when our sisters need it most. Established in 1983, the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and gifts made to the Foundation are tax deductible.

Our Nashville Alumnae Association is very committed to supporting the Ronald McDonald House Charities, especially our local Nashville RMH, through our time and donations; in fact, we have a special connection to the Nashville RMH because we designed their original logo. We love finding ways to support RMH in their mission to allow families to have a place to stay, regardless of their ability to pay. At the Nashville RMH, they not only have a house that families can stay in located down the street from Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt but they also have a family room in the Children's hospital that provides families with a quiet retreat from the busy and noisy corridors, waiting rooms, and hospital rooms. The family from at MCJCHV serves approximately 3,500 visitors per month, even if they are not staying at the Nashville RMH.

Collegiate Support

Zeta Rho-Vanderbilt University

We partner with ZP in so many ways throughout the year and cherish the time we get to spend with our collegiate sisters!

RMH Joint Working Days

Commitment to serving the RMH is so central to every ADPi sister, regardless of if we are a delta or pi member! We love teaming up with the girls of ZP to serve the RMH by dropping off donations, sorting grocery items, cleaning the house, and decorating to make it feel most like home.

Delta to Pi Mentoring Program

We sponsor this long-standing tradition in which seniors (deltas) and alums (pis) are matched up in a mentoring pair based on interests, personality, and/or professional goals and help guide these girls through the transition of becoming a pi member. Our goal for the mentoring program is that it helps reinforce that we have all made life-long commitment to our Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood, scholarship and philanthropy. As these girls transition out of college, we hope that our life skills, experience and advice can set them up for success in their post-graduate lives.
